Genealogy research means many things to many people and for many reasons that why we will talk and discuss your needs and wants. If you need special information on a person it certainly could mean less time than doing a whole family search. In research our costs are based by the hour and beyond that it may include additional costs like travel or costs of attaining records . This will all be discussed as we firm up your research needs.
If you have looked at other sites, you will find that hourly rates run from absurdly low to absurdly high. We will be charging $50.00 an hour. Again, it maybe more or it could be less. The hourly rate includes research and preparing our report. Our report can be as little as a quick family search with a tree presentation to a complete report the full enchilada so to speak including a full written section on your both direct lines ( paternal and maternal) .
No matter what you need, we will arrive at what you want and we will arrive at written terms. Like any others in this business, we will require a retainer to begin the search. All attempt will be made to give you the services you and Looking Back agreed on as promptly as possible.
We collect personal information because it helps us serve the needs of our clients as well as discover how we may better serve the needs of any potential clients.
TYPES OF COLLECTED INFORMATION USED
A) Website usage.
We track certain pages on our website in order to learn what interests potential clients and to track how well we are filling their needs.
B) Research questions.
We love to hear about potential clients’ research needs and try to respond to those questions personally. In order to do that we ask for an email address or telephone number. We never share this contact information with anyone outside of Looking Back employees and can delete upon request. Some forms on our website alert users that their email address will be automatically added to our mailing list; they can unsubscribe at any time.
C) Client contact and genealogical information.
We use contact information from our clients in order to communicate with them regularly. We save your email communication so that we may keep track of each client’s individual needs. All contact information and communication with our clients is private and is not shared with anyone outside of our group.
We save our clients’ genealogical and contact information for a period of at least one year after a project is finished without reorder, and generally longer, unless our clients request that we delete it.
